After supreme state prosecutor Ivica Stankovic ordered that Movement for Changes (PzP) leader Nebojsa Medojevic may not be arrested, Democratic (DF) MPs left the Parliament building after eight days.
The DF MPs stayed in the Parliament building after ruling coalition MPs voted for lifting Medojevic’s immunity.
“DF is the target of persecution coming from Milo Djukanovic. Montenegro is not Milo Djukanovic. These people are not defending their positions or Nebojsa Medojevic, but Montenegro. DF showed the way for the liberation of Montenegro. Therefore, I say – the time for changes has come. Peace and stability are important values of every society, but freedom is an imperative,” Nebojsa Medojevic said after Ivica Stankovic’s decision was announced.
DF members also required releasing Dejan Vujisic, Zeljko Scepanovic and Gordan Konatar from custody.
They were arrested on suspicion of money laundering. Medojevic has been suspected of the same thing.
“The custody has become a tool in the hands of a sadist. Many criminals and murderers who robbed Montenegro are at large,” said one of DF leaders Andrija Mandic.
