DF ready to talk to Democrats, still no meeting initiative

Milan Knežević

There are no indications when the next meeting within the parliamentary majority could take place. In the talks so far, the leaders of the positional parties have failed to reach an agreement that would end the parliamentary and executive crisis, Pobjeda reports.

The stumbling block in reaching a consensus is the disagreement over whether the solution to the crisis is the election of a new PM and members of the government, as well as Parliament Speaker, or the reshuffling of the existing government led by the current PM Zdravko Krivokapic.

The DF previously proposed that the new PM be someone from the Peace is Our Nation coalition, emphasizing that Miodrag Lekic from Demos would be a good candidate for that position, and that someone from their For the Future of Montenegro coalition would take over the Parliament Speaker position.
