Bulajic presented the so-called Action Plan of the Opposition Unity for organising the first free and fair elections, by which the DF requires opposition to boycott the work of the Parliament, to join organising the protests, to support the non-confidence motion in the government and not to participate in negotiations with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
Bulajic believes the opposition should leave the Parliament and not to participate in plenary sessions, committees, appointing or dismissals, until the government of Milo Djukanovic is changed.
“Also, the opposition should not participate in any new talks with Milo Djukanovic. During the boycott of Parliament and holding the continued democratic protests, which is included in our Action Plan of Opposition Unity, the united opposition should initiate a non-confidence motion in the Government and to elect an interim government in the Parliament, which will organise the first free and fair elections,” Bulajic said.
He called on Ranko Krivokapic and the SDP to join the opposition in the implementation of its plan, because, as Bulajic said, real preconditions for the government’s decline would be created with such support and through a joint initiative for a non-confidence vote.
“In case of Krivokapic’s staying in the Parliament and scheduling new sessions which would not include non-confidence motion in the Government, it could easily happen that a new speaker of the Parliament is elected with the tacit consent of the SDP’s leader and that the new speaker would not be willing to put the non-confidence motion on the agenda,” Bulajic said.
He said that this plan on opposition’s actions and the specific method of fighting for the first free and fair elections was proposed by 15 DF MPs – Andrija Mandic, Nebojsa Medojevic, Milan Knezevic, Strahinja Bulajic, Branko Radulovic, Predrag Bulatovic, Janko Vucinic, Slaven Radunovic, Branka Bosnjak, Emilo Labudovic, Vladisav Bojovic, Veljko Vasiljevic, Ljiljana Djuraskovic, Milutin Djukanovic and Koca Pavlovic.
Three independent MPs Mladen Bojanic, Novica Stanic and Obrad Gojkovic agreed with the proposed plan.
Regarding the initiative to gather representatives of parties who did not support the government of Milo Djukanovic, Srdjan Milic said that it was based on a clearly defined goal – free and fair elections.
“The reason for the initiative is the fact that it is possible to define a unique model for this goal. My wish is to affirm once again the reality that the parties that did not support the government currently have 39 MPs in the Parliament. The reality is also that the DPS, together with the Bosniak Party, the Social Democrats and parties it is in the coalition with, also has 39 MPs. There are also there MPs for the Positive Montenegro. So I believe it is more efficient to step up as a 39 MPs majority than to appear as an entity with seven, 12 or 36 MPs. Today we presented all the elements,” Milic said.
The SDP, the Demos and the URA said yesterday they would not attend the meeting. Milic said he would invite them again.
“I will ask the colleagues who have not come to find a unique model. My wish is to overcome the vanity and the past and turn to the upcoming developments. It is legitimate if someone does not want to participate in that. It is the time not to wait the DPS and the Parliament’s sessions or potential Krivokapic’s dismissal – it is time for us who have 39 MPs to take the initiative,” said Milic.
