The session of the State Election Commission (DIK) was interrupted because its chairman Budimir Saranovic felt bad and was immediately transferred to hospital, Radio Montenegro confirmed.
DIK members were supposed to discuss the objections submitted by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) related to the recently held elections in Berane, demanding the repeat of voting in six polling stations.
As the coalition “Berane wins – Milo Djukanovic – DPS, SD, BS” earlier said, it expects the DIK to “appreciate its justified objections, repeat the vote in these polling stations, and legitimately bring this electoral process to an end”.
The Zdravo Berane (Healthy Berane) coalition said that “the possible attempt to change the electoral will in Berane” would not contribute to the stabilisation of political relations either in the city or in Montenegro.
