The trial in the case of terrorism attempt on election day on 16 October 2016 has been postponed for Monday because the accused Bratislav Dikic was not able to attend the trial due to health issues.
“Bratislav Dikic did not come to the hearing because after he was examined in the Spuz prison, doctors found he was not capable of coming to trial,” judge Suzan Mugosa said.
Therefore, she postponed the trial for Monday at 9am.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the former chief of the Serbian Gendarmerie Bratislav Dikic and Milos Jovanovic presented their defence before the High Court.
The trial was postponed in July because the defence attorneys required the chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnic and prosecutor Sasa Cadjenovic to be exempted from the case.
Supreme state prosecutor Ivica Stankovic rejected the request and the acting prosecutor of Saša Cadjenovic in the proceedings for the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and terrorism in an attempt.
The indictment of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office includes two Russian citizens, Eduard Shishmakov and Vladimir Popov, Serbian nationals Milos Jovanovic, Nemanja Ristic, Predrag Bogicevic, Bratislav Dikic, Kristina Hristic, Branka Milic, Milan Dusic, Dragan Maksic, Srboljub Djordjevic.
It also includes three Montenegrin citizens – Democratic Front (DF) leaders, Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic, as well as Mihailo Cadjenovic, an official DF driver. The case against the DF interpreter Ananije Nikic has been conducted separately.
