Socialist Democratic Party has achieved what it wanted- they have launched the initiative and dismissed Vladimir Jokić from the function of the President of the Municipality of Kotor.

The Democrats, Jokić’s party, have accused SDP, and compared its president, Ranko Krivokapić, with Darko Pajović. The leader of Democrats has gone even further and said that they would never sit at the same table with Krivokapić again.

Even the social media users commented on the events in Kotor. Many have said that SDP has reset, alluding to its many-decade long bond with the DPS.

A source from SDP says for CdM that in case somebody acts in contravention to the decision on forming the majority with DPS, SDP management will disband the committee and take appropriate measures envisaged by the Statute.

However, the events have given rise to speculations that everything that happened was actually “Krivokapić’s order” and that it all was the party’s chief will.

The whole situation is quite vague. Where did the offences against SDP come from? They have been expressing their opinion about Jokić for months, it shouldn’t have come as a surprise for the Democrats.

Representatives of Montenegrin party said yesterday that SDP shouldn’t be governing in Budva either.

The truth is that nobody could “calm Jokić down” and make him render decisions in agreement with his partners, not on his own. However, SDP is playing its own game and is constantly looking for its interest.

Interest games have been underway for a long time.

Civil Movement URA has also criticized Mr Jokić because of the concession act he had signed. They said then that Jokić had expressed his immaturity and all his non-democratic potential and voted for terrible “Investment Plan of Port Kotor Joint-stock Company”, in contravention to the conclusions he had been submitted with.

Representatives of “Odupri se” movement are also dissatisfied with what SDP has done. They said that SDP had excluded itself from the Agreement on Future and handed Kotor to DPS.

On the other side, representatives of DPS are happy. They are counting on taking over the power in Kotor.
