Stabilization of finances, which are burden for both citizens and economies, is priority of the new local government in Budva, said president of the Municipality, Mr Nikola Divanović, He said that Budva was slowly coming back to normal.
“We are working on creating more professional and more responsible team”, Mr Divanović said.
He announced new meeting of the local self-government where they are supposed to adopt new recovery plan, that is, a set of measures to help citizens and economy overcome difficult times.
“I primarily mean 20% reduction in real estate taxes. That decision is in preparation phase. Also, plans are afoot for reduction in the rent of hospitality terrace by 50%, abolition of taxes, fees, membership contribution for TO Budva and reduction in the price of public utility services – price of water, garbage collection service, anything we can have an impact on”, Mr Divanović said.
Today, he expects talks with Government representatives about unblocking the account of the Municipality of Budva.
Epidemic situation in Budva has got worse.
“We are worried but we are also ready to respond to this challenge”, Mr Divanović concluded.
