The vehicle that Slavko Nikic mentioned has nothing to do with the Parliament’s official vehicle used by the Democratic Front (DF), the head of DF caucus Milutin Djukanovic said.
“With my approval, Mihailo Cadjenovic drives Renault Fluence, register plates PG CG 870, owned by the Parliament of Montenegro. He never goes anywhere without my approval or other members of DF leadership,” Djukanovic said.
As he said, Cadjenovic did no individual or arbitrary action related to visiting any address. All his visits with the car were pre-approved.
“The vehicle that certain Slavko Nikic mentioned does not have license plates PG CG 570. In his first address to the media, he cited the vehicle register plates to a journalist as a very important and key data,” Djukanovic said.
According to him, when disclosing alleged exclusive information on the event that he was silent about for almost a year, Nikic said that the vehicle had license plates PG TE 508, “which has nothing to do with the one used by DF”.
“Having informed the public that he had checked who the owner was and that it was a construction company from a Podgorica suburb, it is not difficult to conclude who he was influenced by to change the statement in his next public appearance when he said that the car did not belong to the company, but that Andrija Mandic used it,” said Djukanovic.
As he said, in pretending to protect Russia and Mandic, Nikic went too far and claimed that he had talked to fake Russians and that Mandic probably had not been aware that his vehicle was abused.
“I claim that there was neither abuse nor arbitrary actions by Cadjenovic. We see this alleged ‘protection’ coming from former secret service member Nikic as a key stronghold for Katnic’s another false case against DF,” Djukanovic said.
According to him, since the intention of connecting DF with the fake coup and “terrorists” from 16 October, Katnic is now trying “to put somehow certain Popov into our car and thus connect him with DF”.
According to Djukanovic, Katnic does not do this by chance.
“Among other things, in his first public appearance after the false coup on 16 October, in the talk show hosted by Petar Komnenic, Katnic publicly promised that he would cease to exist as a man if all that he said about the attempted coup was not true. Although it has been shown that the largest part of his claims have been coarse lies and constructions, he is still alive and kicking and makes efforts to preserve at least some dignity by constructing a scenario that is the most convenient for him and the head of the regime,” Djukanovic said.
He urged the Supreme State Prosecutor Ivica Stankovic to dismiss Katnic as soon as possible and “protect him and the citizens of Montenegro from the harmful effects produced by Katnic’s profligate and irresponsible actions”, said Djukanovic.
