“The EC Report for Montenegro did not sufficiently highlight the problems of foreign interference in the country’s internal political situation, risks to stability and security, as well as the presence of other actors on the media scene and uncontrolled web space. Especially in this context, the problems of the bilateral relations between Montenegro and Serbia were slightly noted. Partly clarified was the role and position of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the serious problems caused by the signing of the Fundamental Agreement, in a way and at a time when it was extremely unfavorable for political stability and reforms in the country, which led to a vote of no confidence in the government and further increased political turbulence at the expense of the EU agenda and efficient economic policy”, Gordana Djurovic, professor at the Faculty of Economics and president of the Montenegrin Pan-European Union, has told Pobjeda.
Commenting on the EC Report, Djurovic says that it was in line with expectations and that Montenegro could have done much more, especially in the area of government work.
