Doctor Vladimir Perunicic, an internist of the Centre for Cardiology, was attacked at about 2.30pm, first verbally, and then physically, the Clinical Centre of Montenegro (KCCG) announced.
According to CdM, Slavko Djuretic and Goran Kazic assaulted him. Police took statements from them and the prosecutor will classify the offence.
As KCCG stated, the incident occurred after Perunicic came to the main entrance to ask for security guards to protect him against family of a patient who is being treated in the Cardiology Centre. According to him, the patient’s family members behaved inappropriately.
“On that occasion there was a verbal conflict between doctor Perunicic and the patient’s relatives. At one point one of the people who argued with the doctor hit him in the head,” the statement said.
The employees of the security service managed to stop these people and report the incident to the police. An intervention unit came to the scene and took statements from all the participants of the incident. Perunicic was sent to the Emergency Centre to get help,” the statement said.
