The members of the parliamentary committees for health, work and social welfare visited the public enterprise Komanski Most. This institution’s conditions have been significantly improved. Currently, it houses 115 beneficiaries.
Together with the representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare the committee members held a sitting dedicated to children and youth with intellectual disabilities, as well as to the care of adults with serious restrictions in social functioning due to developmental difficulties, Dnevne Novine writes.
Currently there are no children in the facility. Some of the former underage beneficiaries have been accommodated in the Bijelo Polje-based group home and two children have been accommodated in the Resource Centre in Podgorica.

According to the committee chairman Suad Numanovic, the part of the facility where children used to be accommodated has been reconstructed and adapted for people with autism. The 12 beneficiaries with the heaviest type of autism will be accommodated there soon.
However, in spite of the improved conditions, there are persons with serious developmental difficulties who are in serious need of care, which is why the institution’s management has for years been failing to find the staff that would work longer in it.
Namely, the Komanski Most director Vaselj Dusaj said yesterday that they needed a general practitioner, and that the job vacancy was open, but that no one was interested in it.
