The state of Montenegro, just like any other European state, had to pass the law on religious communities, and all the issues that originated from it are supposed to be resolved through dialogue, Rok Đonlešaj, the Archbishop of Bar, told Pobjeda daily.
“Many years of hard work were spent on this law. Is it the best possible solution? Well, I don’t want to say it now. The only thing I know is that nothing’s perfect in this world, except God. The state of Montenegro and its government, as well as people who are managing religious communities have to take into account the well-being of people and believers in Montenegro. We all belong to this country as we live here,“ he underlined.
The Archbishop of Bar continued: “Important matters cannot be solved in the streets, but rather a good will, mood and readiness for dialogue. Important matters are solved through a common language and it’s the language of love.“
The Catholic Church, he added, will try to solve all controversial issues referring to the religious freedom law through dialogue with the State.
