The Democratic Party of Socialists, DPS, has submitted today to the State Election Commission the list of candidates entitled ‘Decisively for Montenegro DPS – Milo Đukanović’, running in Montenegro parliamentary elections due on 30 August. The list leader is the deputy DPS president, Mr Duško Marković.
According to the DPS, the candidate list for the first time comprises 54% of new people, whereas a number of its members stepped aside in order to enable younger staff or those who didn’t have the chance before, to be enlisted.
“Beside those who traditionally step aside, this time Mr Darko Radunović, Mr Aleksandar Žurić and Mr Aleksandar Bogdanović also did it. The list submitted by the DPS and signed by nearly 70,000 citizens represents the best political offer, which guarantees that our party will win a landslide victory in the forthcoming elections,“ they noted.
Mr Marković told that the DPS saw the campaign as the opportunity to present the citizens the outcomes of a 4-year govt’s work, being the holder of executive power and the most responsible body for the implementation of the 2016 election-winning program.
“We want to remind you of what we promised the citizens in that campaign, and what we fulfilled of those promises. Specifically, clearly and visibly from Ulcinj to Pljevlja, from Tivat, Kolasin and Plav, we are witnessing a new face of Montenegro,“ he said.
In the forthcoming campaign, the Democratic Party of Socialists will use various forms in media and direct communication to present its program by fully adhering to the measures and recommendations of the National Coordination Body.
