At today’s hearing in the terrorism attempt case, members of Democratic Front (DF) were kicked out from the courtroom over vulgarity, lack of polite manners and primitivism. They once again showed their attitude towards state institutions, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) said.
However, the party points out that the trial, which might be the most important one in recent Montenegrin history, cannot be compromised, regardless of DF’s intentions and attempts to obstruct the trial and dismiss the indictment.
“DPS expresses the belief that the trial will run in accordance with the Constitution and laws and that all entities of the Montenegrin society will contribute to its full legitimacy. In this regard, in addition to respecting the principles of independence of the judiciary, which is expected from political entities, we consider it extremely important that the media, and in particular public broadcasters, objectively, independently and impartially report on all stages of the proceedings. We hope they will not give in to sensationalism and spinning of political parties and parapolitical organisations that are constantly putting pressure on judiciary,” DPS added.
This is the only way to show the maturity and responsibility of the society and enable the competent authorities to work independently in accordance with laws and democratic practice.
