The High State Prosecutor’s Office has ordered a medical expert’s examination in the case against Vladimir Jovanovic, the head of the pulmonology ward at the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG), due to allegations that he committed the criminal offense of serious crimes against people’s health in connection with the criminal offense of negligent provision of medical assistance.
As Lepa Medenica, head of the High State Prosecutor’s Office, has told CdM, based on the submitted medical documentation, and after the submission of the findings and opinion of the medical expert, other actions will be undertaken as necessary, all with the aim of making a decision in the case.
“The case is in the reconnaissance phase. The Prosecutor’s Office issued an order to the Police Directorate to collect the necessary information from the reported person, which has been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office in the meantime,” Medenica has told CdM.
Jovanovic has said that he made a statement at the Prosecutor’s Office and that experts would deal with this issue. He denied the accusations against him.
