EU financial support is being successfully implemented in Montenegro. Government and all social structures expect considerable benefits from the available EU funds, especially in the context of the crisis provoked by coronavirus, said Mr Aleksandar Drljević, Chief EU negotiator.
As General Secretariat of the Government said, Mr Drljević said at the session of the Committee on European Integration dedicated to EU funds said that Montenegro had continued to implement planned projects and that financial agreements within IPA 2019 and 2020 waere expected to be signed by the end of year.
“Chief negotiator said that COVID-19 epidemic had created new moments and circumstances at both national and EU level and reminded that the EU had supported Montenegro with €53 million of grants.
Talking about the Instrument of pre-accession support for rural development, Mr Drljević reminded that Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development had launched two open calls through which almost €28 million would be available to our agricultural producers.
Chief negotiator said a total of 130 projects with participation of Montenegrin organizations and institutions have been agreed in the part of programs of cross-border and trans-national cooperation, 92 have been agreed within trilateral and trans-national programs and 38 projects in bilateral programs.
