Montenegro and KAP to protect against defender’s actions

Owner of Uniprom company, Veselin Pejovic, assessed all actions of the defender of property and legal interests of Montenegro, Dragana Djuranovic, were contrary to public interest and government’s policy, especially when it comes to its efforts to accelerate economic development and recruitment, increase public revenues from taxes and total exports.

As reported by the weekend edition of newspaper Novine, he said that Djuranovic’s actions on halting the production of aluminum could not be the government’s interest, as they were only favorable to the interests of Russian CAEC. “As a man of great experience, I find her ‘cooperation’ with CAEC suspicious. I believe the interests of the Government of Montenegro and CAEC cannot be the same in bankruptcy proceedings brought against KAP”, emphasized Pejovic, reacting on Djuranovic’s statement that he and a bankruptcy trustee should consult a doctor if they believe in Russian influence on her.

Veselin Pejovic, extremely surprised by her statement, emphasized this society has grave problems if the institutions deal with businessman, who contribute to the economic development of the country, in such an inappropriate way.

He hopes the government will timely react on actions of current defender of property and legal interests of Montenegro in order to prevent potential damage to Uniprom and state as well.
