€2.13bn for key infrastructure projects

The National Investment Commission adopted today the list of key priority infrastructure projects, which contains 36 projects worth €2.13bn and sent it to Government for approval.

According to Government, there are eight projects in the field of energy efficiency worth €1.17bn, six projects in the field of transport worth €789.6m, three projects in the field of environment protection worth €62.9m, ten projects from the area of ​​social services worth €74.2m and nine projects in the field of other infrastructure worth €28.3m.

The projects in the energy sector include using hydro potentials and managing watercourses of the Drina, Piva, Tara, Cehotina, Lim, Ibar and Moraca rivers with the hydropower plants on the Moraca and Komarnica rivers, the Montenegrin part of the power interconnection Italy-Montenegro-Serbia/BiH, Ionian-Adriatic gas pipeline, ecological reconstruction of the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant with heating system of the city, improving energy efficiency in public buildings and the project for improvement of the quality of energy supply in tourist regions.
