€20, €50 and €100 notes forged most often

In the first nine months of this year, the Central Bank of Montenegro’s (CBCG) employees processed 528 pieces of counterfeit banknotes, totalling €41,540. Most of them were in denominations of €20, €50 and €100, the CBCG told Dnevne Novine.

The number of the revealed forged money in the first nine months increased by 2% compared to the same period last year.

According to the Central Bank, the quality of the fake bills found on the territory of Montenegro was good and that they were produced abroad.
