Ministry of Sport awarded €30,000 to the national karate team member Marina Rakovic for winning a bronze medal at the 2016 World Senior Karate Championship organized by the World Karate Federation (WKF) in Linz, Austria.
Rakovic was awarded in accordance with the Law on Sport and the Regulation on the criteria for determining the amount of awards for achieved results.
Sports minister Nikola Janovic met Rakovic on Tuesday, congratulated her on the success and praised her results in international competitions, expressing satisfaction that the karate was included in the programme of the Olympic Games.
