In the past year, Montenegrin citizens and companies exchanged in the CBCG damaged euro banknotes worth €500,000, CBCG told Dnevne Novine.
At the CBCG counter, the damaged money was exchanged by about 1,000 citizens, while the most frequently exchanged banknotes were in the denominations of €50 and €100.
Damaged banknotes include those that are splintered or dyed while washing clothes. CBCG exchanges them free of charge.
