“Following the successful implementation of the project Institutional Development and Agricultural Strengthening MIDAS, calls for IPARD-like represent a transitional step towards the future IPARD programme, which will begin to be implemented in 2016,” the government stated.
The planned budget for IPARD programme 2016-2020 totals €52m, out of which the EU contributed 75%, ie €39m.
“This means that potential investment in this respect in the agricultural sector in the next five to eight years will amount to €140m when we take into account the participation of farmers in the projects,” it was said in the statement.
The government has also adopted the ninth report on the implementation of the Strategy for the Prevention and Suppression of Terrorism, Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism 2015-2018 and Action Plan for the period July-December 2015.
The strategy is focused on further improvement of the normative and legal framework, administrative, material and technical capacities of relevant state bodies, intensifying cooperation between the competent institutions in the country, the region and internationally, as well as raising awareness of the need for disabling propaganda and incitement to terrorism.
The Report on the implementation of the action plan for the implementation of the Strategy for Integrated Migration Management in Montenegro in 2015 was also adopted.
The government also adopted a report on the development and protection of the rights of minorities and other minority communities for 2015, which provides a presentation of minority protection policies, both in the normative part, and by individual fields of social life.
