Montenegro ranks 68th among 178 countries of the world on the American Heritage Foundation’s 2018 Economic Freedom Index. Compared to last year, Montenegro made progress, moving 15 places up the list.
When it comes to the countries in the region, Serbia (80), Bosnia-Herzegovina (91) and Croatia (92) rank worse than Montenegro, whereas Macedonia (33), Kosovo (56), Slovenia (64) and Albania (65) are better ranked.
