Electoral silence in Herceg Novi tomorrow

Election silence ahead of Herceg Novi local elections that will be held on Sunday is to start tomorrow at midnight.

There are 12 political parties, coalitions and citizens’ groups participating in the elections: Boka Democratic Alliance, Novi’s List, the Democratic Party of Socialists, Social Democrats, Demos, Civic List for Herceg Novi Miso Skobalj, Montenegrin Party, Democrats, Democratic Front, Socialist People’s Party, Izbor Citizens Group (Choice) and the Social Democratic Party-URA coalition.

Councillors in the 34 seat Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly will be elected by 24.927 citizens eligible to vote.

There are 51 polling stations in the municipality.

The Ministry of Interior (MUP) has established 19820 call centre on the eve of the elections.

“By calling this number and saying personal data (name, date of birth and parents’ names) or unique personal number (JMBG), a citizen can obtain from the operator information about whether he/she is registered in the electoral roll and at which polling station,”  MUP stated.
