Electric cars Cetinje’s new tourism offer

Tourism offer of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje has been enriched with two electric cars worth €46,000. The United Nations Development Program, UNDP, and the Old Royal Capital provided funds necessary for their purchase.

Marko Vujanović, the manager of Cetinje Tourist Organization told Cetinje public broadcaster that the aim was to improve the town’s tourism offer as well as to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions.

“We have two electric cars worth about €46,000, one having sidecar rigs. This is about the project of the Old Royal Capital and the UNDP aiming to improve our tourism offer,” explained Vujanović.

Cars will be used during summer season so that tourists and visitors of Cetinje may enjoy panoramic sightseeing.

“Today we had guests from Italy who drove in car and were extremely pleased. The weather was perfect, everything went smoothly and we expect to have a successful tourist season and numerous activities as well,” concluded Vujanović.
