According to the information provided by the Central Bank, payment institutions and e-money institutions seated in Montenegro will also have to submit the reports on payment operations to the Central Bank.
This represents a novelty introduced in the decision on reports on payment operations, recently adopted by the Central Bank and aligned with the Regulation (EU) No 1409/2013 of the European Central Bank on payments statistics.
The latest data on payment operations indicate that payments amounted to €2,78bn in November 2017, €2,86bn in October 2017 and €2,87bn in September 2017.
The lowest payment was in January 2017 (€2,14bn), February 2017 (€2,42bn), March 2017 (€2,78bn), April 2017 (€2,32bn), May 2017 (€2,77bn) and in June 2017 (€2,98bn).
The highest payments were in July 2017 (€3bn) and August 2017 (€3,05bn).
The Central Bank of Montenegro monthly publishes data on scope and value of payment operations in the RTGS and DNS systems.
