Geography teacher at the 21.Maj elementary school in Podgorica, Marko Savicevic was fired from this educational institution, and in a statement for CdM he points out that the decision was made as a pure example of revenge of the acting headteacher of this school, Radmila Mugosa. Mugosa, on the other hand, points out for CdM that if Savicevic thinks that there were some omissions, there are institutions to which he can complain.
In the prestigious school in Podgorica, Savicevic got the opportunity to improve his professional skills, through internship activities.
After several years of waiting and the mentor’s retirement, he decided to apply for the vacancy.
“At the suggestion of colleagues from the school and the decision of the acting headteacher Radmila Mugosa, I got the opportunity to continue my work engagement and do the job I love”, he says.
He signed the first contract for a month, i.e. until the announcement of the public competition.
However, his hopes quickly fell into the water.
“After announcing the competition (19 November), I was met by the acting headteacher in the school hall. She told me “not to be angry with her if she chooses another candidate in the competition, because there are several candidates who have been waiting for a job for a long time”.
He emphasizes that on the same day he went to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports to take an interest in his rights and possibilities, where, he claims, they he was told “that the acting headteacher will get instructions to do everything according to the law”.
“I then received criticism from her: ‘that she is very disappointed’, ‘that I should not have gone to the Ministry to complain’ “, Savicevic explains.
“After a few vague answers, I received a proposal to be deputy headteacher, and after my question – How can I be a deputy when I don’t have enough years of work? – an offer for a janitor’s job followed. I experienced such offers and previous treatment, being someone who has been working in this institution for the second year in a row, as a supreme insult, mobbing and pure revenge”, Savicevic has told CdM.
Soon, he says, the decision from the competition arrived, in which a candidate without work experience was chosen, the youngest of the candidates and who, as she claims, did not submit certified documentation in the competition application, which was determined by the commission, which entered this the minutes and rejected her documentation for further consideration.
The Education Inspectorate conducted an inspection of this school.
“During the selection of candidates, the acting headteacher made a decision using her discretion”, the Education Inspectorate points out.
