EPCG earned €36m by exporting electricity

From the beginning of the year to September, the Electric Power Company of Montenegro, EPCG, exported electricity worth €35.9m, while at the same time importing €23.3m worth electricity, Darko Krivokapić, chief executive officer of the Directorate for Energy Management, told Dnevne Novine daily.

The EPCG imported 504 gigawatt hours of electricity, while it exported 218 gigawatt hours more. Krivokapić said: “During the reconstruction of hydropower plants Piva and Perućica in summer, the EPCG imported 299 GWh of electricity to serve the needs of the energy consumers.”

Over the past 5 years, this company exported 4.11 billion of kWh of electricity in the total amount of around €151m, while it simultaneously imported 4.02 billion of kWh amounting to approximately €165m.
