The IPARD III program of Montenegro was submitted to the European Commission on 24 March 2022, and is currently in the evaluation procedure, the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Podgorica has told the RTCG portal. The IPARD fund is an EU pre-accession program. It is the most complete rural development program through which it is possible to receive support for several different types of investments at once. Regarding IPARD II, the EU Embassy explains that Montenegro lost €759,662.60 at the end of 2021, because those funds were not spent on time.

The European Commission adopted and published on 23 March this year the IPARD program for rural development within IPA, which does not mention Montenegro.
