“The events in Savnik are one of the consequences of the institutional crisis in Montenegro and the years-long inability or lack of will to suppress and sanction electoral abuses in legally prescribed procedures”, lawyer Veselin Radulovic says for portal RTCG.
“In all election cycles, we have been witnessing the same types of abuse for years, which remain without an adequate reaction from the competent authorities. One gets the impression that the only thing that bothers political parties is when abuses are committed by other subjects and that they are all just waiting for the opportunity to do it in their own interest”, Radulovic explains.
As he points out, we still have a bad system and bad practices established by DPS during its three-decade rule, even though that party has not been in power for more than two years.
