Every parking lot in the city will have a separate price list this year. The price will depend on the part of the city, but also on the traffic load, said Nusret Canovic, the director of Podgorica Parking Service.
According to him, this does not mean that parking fee will increase. It means that some parking lots that are now less used would be better occupied.
“We will make a new concept of price list. Our price list was adopted in 2011 when VAT rate was 17%. Now it is 21%, but that does not mean that we will increase prices. Prices will depend on city parts and traffic loads. For example, the parking lot near the Moraca garage, which has unlimited number of parking spaces, is almost empty, so we plan to lower the prices of monthly tickets and fill that parking lot,” said Canovic.
The company plans to introduce a number of novelties this year. Among other things, they include an application on the company’s website that customers will be able to download and get information on free parking places. “We fund this project in partnership with Telekom,” said Canovic.
The Podgorica Parking Service plans to provide free parking for pregnant women. Such lots will be set up near the Clinical Centre of Montenegro (KCCG).
