„Milan Lakicevic notified ministry of finance in written form that he wants to resign from the duty of the director of the Tax administration. In accordance with the legal procedure, request for resignation was sent to the relevant government’s office for further procedure”, it was said from the ministry.
They also explained that after the government gives its consent for the resignation of the director of the Tax administration, selection and appointing the new director of this institution will be done in accordance with the Law of publice service postitions.
Asked if the director of one of the most important institutions in the ministry of finance gave any reasons for his action, no response was given from the ministry.
Statement from Lakicevic was impossible to get yesterday because he was unavailable.
Tax administration didn’t want to give any statements either. They just shortly replied that they have no comments of the situation for now.
