Exemption of Katnic and Cadjenovic required

The trial in the case of attempted terrorism on the election day continued today in the Podgorica High Court.

Answering attorneys’ questions, cooperative witness Sasa Sindjelic said that he was delivering money because Edi (Eduard Shishmakov) ordered him to do so. He allegedly had an agreement with Democratic Front (DF). He also pointed out that he had knowledge that the defence attorneys used the documentation obtained after the burglary of his apartment.

Chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnic responded to reiterating questions saying that the defence was trying to create a false contradiction. During the hearing, he pointed out that he had knowledge that defence attorney Petronijevic had participated in the “preparation of witnesses in Serbia”.

Petronijevic made a proposal, which was supported by his colleagues from the defence, to require exemption of the chief special prosecutor Katnic and special state prosecutor Sasa Cadjenovic from the proceedings.

The court interrupted the trial to decide on the request for the exemption. The hearing will be held tomorrow at 9am.
