Farmers’ protest over

More than 50 farmers have protested today in Podgorica in front of Parliament and the Government building. They have continued to ask for a meeting with PM Zdravko Krivokapic and Minister of Finance and Social Welfare Milojko Spajic. The farmers have warned that if that meeting does not take place, they will be forced to significantly radicalize the protests and spill fertilizer in all cities. Journalists were told this by Milko Zivkovic from the Union of Livestock Breeders of Montenegro.

The gathered farmers have told Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Aleksandar Stijovic that at one point he belittled Montenegrin livestock breeders and that they hope that he will never have the opportunity to do it again.

Mr Zivkovic has said that the public will be informed about further moves in a timely manner.
