The law will be passed today, but I believe that President Milo Đukanović will not sign it, CdM analyst Ljubomir Filipović has stated on radio Antena M. “Based on suspicions, brief public hearings and warnings from NGOs supporting the new Government, he has every right to do so. There is room, until a new session is scheduled, for the European Commission to react. If it does not react, we will interpret it as tacit support for the rape of rights and the Prosecutor’s Office as an independent authority”, he explains.
He has pointed out that the new parliamentary majority wants to, ignoring the opinion of the Venice Commission, implement its political agenda by hiding behind the screen of the fight against corruption and organized crime.
Referring to the conversation between the PM Zdravko Krivokapić and the President of France Emmanuel Macron and the alleged support of France to the Government of Montenegro, Mr Filipović says that it would be good for Mr Macron to explain the position of France.
Mr Filipović stresses that the plan of some structures in the EU to leave the region of the Western Balkans in the care of Serbia, “is like leaving the bear to keep honey”.
Speaking about the celebration of 15 years since Montenegro restored its independence, Mr Filipović states that the Government will certainly not celebrate 21 May in full capacity.
