Firefighters extinguished as many as 43 fires on the territory of the Podogrica municipality today from 7am to 7pm, Andrija Cadjenovic, the commander of the Civil Rescue and Protection Service, told CdM.
“The situation is currently under control. Minor fires are being put out within former Moraca barracks complex, in the Doljani village and on the Cafa hill, but no facilities are endangered. From 7am to 7pm today, we extinguished 43 fires,” said Cadjenovic.
Last night was a tough one for the members of the Civil Protection and Rescue Service – 34 fires in the area of Podgorica were extinguished. Strong wind made the work even more difficult.
