It was a dynamite that sealed the fate of a dead flathead grey mullet found by Krasici in Boka Kotorska Bay in the end of September, Pobjeda daily reports.
Institute for Marine Biology confirmed the findings through analysis of the found dead fish.
Such results confirm that illegal fishery using explosives happens in the Bay as well, not only in the hidden parts of Kotor Bay.
“In October as well, the citizens took photos and sent to our page, and we could see dead fish carried by the current. The inspectors couldn’t find them, someone came and took the fish”, Vukovic, activist against illegal fishery, said to Pobjeda daily.
His informal organization has been gathering evidence of different types of illegal fishery actions. They hope to see the recently adopted Action plan for prevention of illegal fishery in fresh and salt waters put forward real changes.
