From the beginning of this year, up until the last day of July, citizens of Montenegro indebted 285 million EUR to banks.
Banks operating at the Montenegrin market, 15 of them, granted 701,5 million EUR of loans from the beginning of this year, and the majority of them was granted to legal entities.
“In the total newly granted loans, 416,5 million EUR was granted to legal entities, which makes 59% of the total amount. Loans granted to physical persons amount 285 million EUR”, said the representatives of the Central Bank of Montenegro.
I comparison to the last day of July last year, loans requested by Montenegrin citizens and legal entities have increased by 12,55 % and 11,28 % respectively.
The statistics shows that citizens mostly request non-purpose loans , 52%, whereas 40% accounts for restricted loans.
“Housing loans, in the total amount of 335 million EUR, are dominant in the structure of restricted loans”, said the representatives of the Central Bank of Montenegro.
The remaining 8% of loans approximately account for mortgage loans, credit cards and leasing activities.
