Although sets of textbooks are 5 percent cheaper compared to last year, parents agree that this is a big expense especially for families who have multiple students, it was reported by Pobjeda.
„We have two students. One is in eigth grade and one in third. Textbooks are expensive considering how small salaries are. Besides the textbooks other school materials are necessary, notebooks, pens. For all of this we need one salary of 300 euros. We still didn’t buy textbooks for our older son, we are waiting to see if we’ll be able to buy used textbooks maybe”, said Snezana Knezevic from Podgorica.
Employee in the bookstore of the Office for textbooks and instructional utensils Maja Atanaskovic said to Pobjeda that already on the first day there is big interest by parents for sets of textbooks for all grades. “We have enough textbooks. Parents have already been informed about prices, so they’re just buying. They buy school materials too. Our notebooks on whose covers besides cultural monuments you can find faces of our successful sportsmen and national teams cost from 0.70 euros to 1.70 euros which is the price for hard cover. School bags cost between 15 and 48 euros”, said Atanaskovic.
She reminded that currently being sold are textbooks for mathematics for all grades of elementary school, history for sixth, seventh and eigth grade, then nature and society (textbook and notebook) for first, second, third and fifth grade, painting and music culture (textbook and CD) for fourth grade and painting culture and society development (textbook and notebook) for fifth grade.
As it was earlier said by the director of Office for textbooks and instructional materials Zoja Bojanic Lalovic, Montenegrin was printed as a non-native language for third and fifth grade, for editions in Albanian language, as well as a manual for work with autistic children, and new textbook is also for French and Italian language as a second foreign language for primary school and high schools.
There are also new editions for specialty high schools: Economics of trade, Economics and organization of trade companies, Technics of sale, Business communication, Farmacology, Infectology and care, Statistics, Anantomy with physiology, Basics of tourism and Electrical instalations and lighting.
