“We highly appreciate the achievements of the ten year long negotiations – reaching the final agreement on key aspects of peaceful use of nuclear potential and the suspension of the whole set of restrictive measures by the international community towards this country. At the same time, the agreement will be a stimulus for further development of Iran at the national level and for responsible role in international relations, which is in the interest of global peace and security”, the Ministry communicated.
They reminded that Iran was committed not to use its nuclear potential for the purchase or development of nuclear weapons, under any circumstances, which was particularly significant in the context of universalisation of applying the provisions of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) as a key international instrument in this area.
“Given the circumstances in which it was achieved, the agreement represents a rare example of a successful diplomatic negotiation on a multilateral level in recent years and a confirmation that a joint action, grounded on the firm political commitment, mutual respect and trust, represents a path towards a positive ending of long-standing and complex international disputes”, the Ministry concluded, noting that Montenegro would continue to support activities aimed at full and effective implementation of the Agreement.
