As of today, foreign nationals who want to enter Montenegro will need a negative PCR test taken less than 72 hours, while Montenegro nationals need only a test for Covid-19 antibodies.
The latest coronavirus limitations announced by the government last night say that a Montenegro national and a foreigner with the permanent or temporary residence in Montenegro are allowed to enter the country after meeting one of the three requirements: negative PCR test result taken less than 72 hours or positive antibody test, or a negative result of the antibody test, category IgM, by the ELISA antibody test, taken in less than 72 hours.
“If they do not meet the above-mentioned requirements, it’s possible to enter the country but with two weeks of quarantine. Exceptionally, it’s possible to do the PCR testing on the sixth day of quarantine (self-isolation) at the earliest, and in case a person tests negative, self-isolation ends,” the coronavirus measures suggest.
Children under the age of five do not need a test.
If a Montenegro national or a foreigner with permanent or temporary residence in Montenegro has stayed outside the borders of our country for up to 48 hours, it is possible to return to MNE without the test, provided that upon return to Montenegro a health surveillance measure is prescribed, that is, a person may move freely, but he/she is obliged to follow the symptoms and report to the competent body until the expiration of the Decision issued by the Sanitary Inspection upon his/her return.
Foreigners may enter Montenegro with a negative PCR test result, not older than 72 hours.
Children under the age of five do not need the negative PCR test.
The measures for entering the country will be in force from 25 December.
