According to the preliminary data from the MONSTAT Statistical Office, the total foreign trade of Montenegro for 8 months of this year (January – August) amounted to €2.95bn, which indicates a growth of 6.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the structure of exports, according to the standard international trade classification, mineral fuels and lubricants were the most represented – €201.6m (comprising: electricity – €181.6m, among others).
In the structure of imports according to the classification, the most represented were machinery and transport equipment – €573.6m (comprising: road vehicles – €204.4m, among others).
The largest foreign trade partners in exports were: Serbia (€118.6m), Bosnia and Herzegovina (€57.9m) and Slovenia (€55.8m).
The largest foreign trade partners in imports were: Serbia (€440.9m), China (€283m) and Germany (€231.5m). Foreign trade was the largest with CEFTA signatories and with the EU.
