Dr Aleksandar Kujović, member of the Crisis Unit said at the media conference today that there were 19 patients in the Clinical Center. Three patients are on ventilator, whereas one patient was taken off ventilator. Four patients were discharged yesterday.
Assistant director of the Institute for Public Health, Dr Senad Begić, says that the Institute regularly monitors the proposed measures.
He said that elderly homes were of special interest. He says that no cases have been confirmed in those institutions.
Dr Begić stressed that what has been seen in Tuzi so far was something that couldn’t be seen anywhere in the world – maximum respect for measures.
“Thanks to their behavior, they managed to practically put out the focal point of the epidemic. All measures will be re-evaluated. Any hasty abolition would produce a boomerang effect. It will be gradual”, Dr Begić says.
New peak on 17 April
“The next peak is expected in 14 days counting from the last one. If we stick to measures, we have a good reason to be optimistic and hope that we have the infection under control”, Dr Begić pointed out.

The method of treatment using blood plasma hasn’t been considered yet.
Are there any new clusters?
Dr Begić says the last one was on 9 April.
“We can’t expect any new clusters in this phase”, Dr Begić says.
Mr Kujović says the patients who recovered first were feeling well.
Do mosquitoes transmit virus?
Dr Begić says the question is whether the virus stays in the blood.
“Role of mosquitoes or any other vector hasn’t been proven so far”, Dr Begić pointed out.
High risk on construction sites
Dr Begić says that the last order by the NCB deals with this issue.
“On most construction sites, workers don’t even have any social interaction”, Dr Begić says.
Prices of masks in private pharmacies
Dr Begić thinks protective equipment has become strategic goods.
“Any abuse won’t be tolerated. Everybody who tries to earn in this trouble will be sanctioned”, Dr Begić says.
