Fuel prices have increased significantly in Montenegro, hitting their highest level on record. Having in mind the global market criteria, fuel price rises are expected to continue, whereas the Montenegrin government still hasn’t done anything to eliminate the impact of price rises on both citizens and the economy.
The government believes that the parliament should take care of it.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare, Branko Krvavac, says that the parliament stopped the ministry’s initiative envisaging that the government can reduce excise taxes following the increase in fuel prices.
While they’re transferring responsibility between each other, drivers are facing prices being at record highs.
