German Ambassador: I’m worried about path Montenegro is taking

Robert Veber

Commenting on the current political situation in Montenegro and the statement of Minister of Justice and Human and Minority Rights Vladimir Leposavić, German Ambassador to Montenegro has pointed out that he is increasingly concerned about the direction which Montenegro is currently taking as a state and society. He says that admitting guilt has never been easy, but that is owed to the victims and the truth. He adds one has to admit the truth to oneself, admit guilt – don’t deny it!

When, as he says, he expresses deep concern, he doesn’t do so from a high moral point, but as a representative of his country, which caused the catastrophic World War II and the Holocaust through totalitarianism, nationalism and racial hatred, and which took the greatest moral blame.
