The reason why two pieces of glass on the Hilton’s business centre’s facade were broken on Friday was a bird that hit them, the company explained. However, it is unclear how the bird could break the case-harden glass on the windows?

The incident occurred at about 3pm today. Fortunately no pedestrians were injured when the glass fall on the sidewalk. Police warned citizens not to walk on the street side where the broken glass was spread.

The Hilton Hotel PR service made it clear – the glass did not fall from the hotel and it was broken by a bird.

“Sometime after 3pm, due to a mechanical hit, most likely made by a bird, two pieces of window glass on the facade of the Hilton Business Centre fell. The Business centre is not a part of the Hilton hotel. Immediately after this event, the relevant services were contacted in order to secure the site and remove the glass,” PR service stated.
