The 15% increase in the number of tourists from Bulgaria last year was an additional reason for even better cooperation between Podgorica and Sofia, especially in the field of tourism, the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Pavle Radulovic and his Bulgarian counterpart, Nikolina Angelkova agreed at today’s meeting.
The meeting was held on the margins of the Ministerial Conference on Tourism and Economic Growth, held in Sofia. The two ministers concluded that the cooperation between the two countries was particularly important given the complementarity of economic needs and the mutual commitment to deepening economic ties.
It was also estimated that Bulgaria could assist Montenegro in the development of winter tourism, while Montenegro, on the other hand, could be a good contact for Bulgaria to attract luxury hotel brands.
