Gordana Djurovic rejected offer to be a minister

Mrs. Djurovic commented as former Minister of European Integration

Professor at the Faculty of Economy and former minister of European integrations rejected PM Dusko Markovic’s offer to take the position of leadership in the process of European integrations. She did say, however, that she was willing to provide any kind of expert help for the government.

The two of them discussed the matter over a week ago, Pobjeda learns.

Djurovic thanked Markovic for the offer. During their meeting, it wasn’t determined precisely whether there would still be a ministry in charge of the integration process or if there would be another form of institution established to be in charge of it.

The government is currently looking for an appropriate person to head the process of EU integrations after former minister of European affairs Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic resigned from office. For the time being, justice minister and deputy PM for political system, internal and foreign policy, Zoran Pazin, is in charge of the Ministry for European Affairs.
