Government borrows €35m from KfW bank

Vlada

Government is to borrow €35m from the German KfV Development Bank for the City of Podgorica’s needs. This loan is needed for the implementation of the project on collecting and treating waste waters in Podgorica.

This amount will be borrowed through two loans (€5m and €30m). Interest rates are determined at 2% and 2.6%.

The project is aimed at improving collecting and treating waste waters in the Podgorica area in an environmentally sustainable way.

The goal is to contribute to environmental protection, primarily local and regional waters, and to improve life conditions of the citizens. Since the new water treatment facility will be located out of the city, negative environmental impact will be diminished.
