Government of Montenegro has accepted request of 36 companies organizing games of chance and freed them from paying fixed part of the concession fee for the period they were not allowed to work.
With orders and measures of the Ministry of Health entering into force, on 15 March activities in all facilities organizing games of chance were suspended.
“Games of chance organizers have addressed to the Games of chance Administration with requests for the suspension of liabilities and exemption from paying fixed concession fees”.
The concession fee amounts to €500 per one betting shop and €50 per slot machine.
A total of 36 companies organize games of chance in Montenegro.
Having regard to the number of betting shops and slot machine clubs that have active concession agreements, average fixed concession liability of all betting game organizers amounts to €630.000 at monthly level.
Even casinos can be exempt from paying fees
As far as fixed concession fee for casinos is concerned, it amounts to €50.000 in line with the Article 42 of the Law on Games of Chance.
All concessionaires (three companies) organizing games of chance in casinos have paid the amounts. If all concessionaires requested suspension, that would mean accompanying part of the fixed monthly fee would be free of charge (€4.167 per casino) which is €20.000 monthly.
